The Talent Show

Today, in my class, after all our tests, we had a talent show (it was today because it was postponed about 3 times) we all lined up at the door with our stuff and went into the music room at the dorms. We all got our number for order then we started. First off was Nathan he his piano piece for the NCFA (National Children's Festival of the Arts) called "Sword Play", it was actually a pretty good piece. Second we had Miguel go he juggled a soccer ball (juggling in soccer is when you keep the ball up by hitting it with your foot) 4 times. After was Markus he read a passage from Swift Family Robinson ( he did that because he couldn't think of anything to do in time for the talent show.) Jared did the same thing only it wasn't the exact same passage. Then it was Aviella and Shania's turn to go they played "New World Symphony" on the flute they did pretty good considering we only played it once in class. 5th was Amanda and Lauren and they sang "I Got the Magic in Me" it was really good Lauren did the rapping and Amanda did the chorus. Next to go was Amy she played "When the Saints Go Marching In" she did pretty good to we all liked that one. Finally it was my turn I played my NCFA piece called "Light and Blue" (only with out the tremolo.) That was the end of our talent show then we begged our teacher Ms. Cilliers to do something although she didn't, and then we went back to class for lunch.

"O Canada"

This summer me and my family went to Canada for the Carey conference(even Titus came!).

When we got there the first day Mr. Martin came to pick us up it was night time around 12:30 a.m. and we went to bed at 2:00 a.m.!

When we woke up the next day we met the rest of the martins:

The third day we headed to the conference and it was raining :( but discovered the most amazing chips ever called ruffles all dressed chips :D my dad loves them we discovered them the first day when we got to camp in the cabinet.

We met many many people and one of them was Mr.Joe he said that he was very rich and he loved ping-pong and introduced it to me I started to like it as well.When we talked sometimes we couldn't understand each other but got the point eventually.

The Carey Conference had a pool & wading pool, basketball court(its also skate park),dining hall, tuck shop(delicious), and a chaple i'm sure that the speakers would love for you to come out and hear the gospel.

One Week

Amanda and Joanna came over to our house to spend the night at our house for a week! But that was because they're parents went to Antigua for a week.

There were alot of people in our house about 8 but that's because Ms.Kendria was here to visit and Amanda and Joanna of course and our family of five.

So this is what happened:

Day 1

We picked up Amanda and Joanna around 3 p.m. because my mom had a meeting while me Amanda, Afiya, Joanna, and Titus stayed home with Ms.Kendria. During that time we played and had fun.

Day 2

I think this day was the day when VBS started or it started the day before so that day again we had fun and wen to VBS that evening i think it started at 6 and then we came home i think by 8.

We had to ride home with Ocean and Sage because my mom and dad went to have dinner with a couple i think and so Ms.Kendria.

Day 3

I don't remember doing any thing this day except for going to VBS so we went came back went to sleep.

Day 4,5,and 6

I think the same thing happened.

Day 7

Amanda and Joanna's parents come back! :( But we had fun this day to that day we taught Amanda how to use the sewing machine and we also did cleaning :( and we split the chores between me, Afiya, and Amanda.

"Brownie Campout"

Yesterday me and my sister went to a brownie "campout" which is really like a sleepover but we did campout stuff like:

Making smores and cooking hot dogs over a fire.

But we did other things that were more like a sleepover like:

Having a pillow fight.

Watching a movie.

Having contests like who can stay up till 1:30 a.m. (of course i was like the 5th to go to sleep first out of 18 girls but the brownie leaders went to sleep first) but the leaders woke up again after the movie.

This sleepover/campout was for the end of the year party so no more brownies!!! :(

But i know next year i'll probably join.

My Baseball

I am playing baseball now and enjoying it. I have alot of of fun playing baseball and played a couple games.

My games are on Saturday 11:45-12:00 (I think )an practices are on Tuesday 5:00-6:30 if not I don't really remember the time :)).

My team name is really the Cayman Publishers but our team chose another name we are now called the Red Soxs. I have quite a few team mates ( to me) they're names are: Ethan, Jacob, Ever ( I like that name), Mark, Agoustoue ( i'm not sure how you spell all the names), Jahime, Evevthon, Jthon, antonio or anthony but he may have gotten transfered to a different team.

Everybody else who plays baseball got thier uniforms yesterday and tickets and discount cards the kids have to sell them and if you sell 5 discount cards you get $25.00 back from when you payed for the uniform and $30.00 if you sold all 6. Right now i've sold all 6 discount cards and 1 ticket.

I think Titus is our teams #1 fan he always says something like "good job boy" or says "good job Eden" :))

I have 3 coaches my mom might be a coach to but the 3 coaches I have now are coach Glen Jacob's dad, coach Lauren Ethan's mom, and coach Tom Ever's dad.

Our New Pet II

Today I am blogging about our new pet a couple posts ago i said we might get a new bird not like we ever had one before. But Jamie (the bird we got for catching up on our school work) had been with us for ten days but then something happend. Then we took him to the vet you know to get better. When he got to the back room he died of course I cried we only had him for ten days! And he died! It's really sad but he had to die at some point.
Its fun taking care of a parakeet but it's bite is not so fun it is not as easy as you think to train a parakeet he or she has to get ajusted were he or she is then when you think he is ajusted slowly put your hand in the cage palm side up and index finger on his stomach slightly press on his tummy until he pirches on your finger slowly take your finger out of the cage and if he or she tries to bite you thats just because he or she is scared or doesn't want to do want you are trying to get him to do. Parakeets are not easy to train as you can see but it is like i mentioned it is fun.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! For the next 364 days it will be 2009 I am very excited about it.

Last night our family went to some friends house and watched movies like we did last year but this time Titus was the last person to fall asleep! Everybody, including the Chin-Sinn's son and daughter (the Chin-Sinns are the people who we watched movies with) who are teenagers, fell asleep before Titus. I fell asleep before the movie barely started!

We went at twelve something, after New Year's service at church. When we got back home it was around six o'clock in the morning! And normally when my sister and I go to bed, we don't actually fall asleep until about 30 minutes to an hour later, but last night (this morning) we were out!

Now today is the beginning of a new year when everybody does alot of the same things as last year only maybe some things different and maybe more things. But I know one thing certainly it is the same to me and I don't think I'm going to feel any different at times until I get older or as the years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds go by.

Something to Celebrate

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

December is so exciting and busy because we have so much to plan. First we have to prepare for Titus' birthday, then Christmas, then my birthday which is today. Then we have to prepare for New Years before January.
Like I said today is my birthday and I am now nine years old. I had a sleepover party on Friday night and all the girls were picked up today at 11:00 or so. It was actually one of the best partys I ever had because my main friends and another normal friend who is very giggly came. Even though that was only 6 girls including me and my sister it was still fun. I also got some of the best presents ever given to me. I got a skateboard, 1 hour skate boarding lessons pass, a 1 month pass to a skateboarding park, some money, a candy cane, and a felt and flower bracelet kit.

I really enjoy holidays and birthdays and I don't know any one who doesn't.


MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!

Our New Pet

Me and my sister were so excited when our dad said we could get a bird if we catch up with a book we have to read for school but we already did. So me and my sister were calling out things we had to catch up on in school and so finally our dad said that if we catch up with all our school by Friday we can get a bird on the weekend. So me and my sister are trying hard to catch up so we can get a bird.

I'll post pictures of the bird if we get one.

Titus' B-day

Titus' B-day is on December 1st which is 3 days away!

Titus will be 2.

He is having a Thomas cake because he loves trains.

My mom and my dad are going to miss Titus' birthday :( ! My mom has told people "I have never missed one of my child's birthdays."

I feel happy about Titus' birthday but kinda upset that my parents aren't going to be here for Titus' birthday.

I hope Titus has a good birthday and a good time whenever his party may be and a good time on the actual day.

Soccer Camp

Yesterday I went to my first day of Soccer Camp. It was very hot but I enjoyed it the same. At Soccer Camp I didn't make any new friends but I was still having alot of fun. Today is the second day of Soccer Camp. We didn't do as many games as yesterday but it was a bit better. Here are some of the things we did: We played duck,duck, goose (I didn't enjoy that as much) , we played 2 football matches (that's the word Caymanians use for soccer) and we played a game where we would all hold hands and form a circle and we run in towards the center of the circle. If we let go, we would have to sit down in the middle. We also did plenty of exercises. Today my coach told my group that our game is on Friday! I was more excited than nervous. Next time I will try to get some pictures up at least of the game. :-)

The Washington's Visit

Last week the Washington's came to visit us. It was alot of work to do and watch the boys but it was fun. We didn't do much but here are things I remember. First, we went to Rum Point and we went kayaking with them. Second, they went on the Atlantis submarine. Also, when the Washington's came to visit us we played the Wii with the boys. Here are some of the pics taken by us and the Washington's. This is when they're about to leave! Oh No!

Horse Camp

Me and my sister have been going to horse camp for the past 5 days. Our classes were from 8:30 to 1:00. Here are the things we did in order:

First we rode the horses before it got too hot outside. It can get in the 90's by nine in the morning! Next we fed the horses alpha alpha pellets and hay cubes. Hay cubes look like mushed together green hay. After that, we could lead the horses, pick their hoofs, groom them, and other stuff. Sometimes we got to wash the horses or paint them.

My favorite horse is Bandy because she is kind and gentle. She is a big, black horse that lots of kids love to ride.

My Friend's Birthday

On a Saturday me and my sister went to our friend's(Elianna)birthday party. Her party was at Public Beach. The waves were so rough they pushed me up to shore. I drank gallons of salt water. There was a playground so some of the kids played there. It was very windy and it rained. But we still got in the water. We also saw some dogs at her party. They were from the
Humane Society and volunteers were walking them at the beach. We petted some and got straight back into the water. My sister was the only one who had goggles.

Amazing Week

This week alot of things happened. First a rooster flew into the window of my dad's car,

then I saw a land crab in our front yard.

Next, we saw a tornado on the water. It is called a water spout.

After that we saw a baby iguana. This is the actual picture of the iguana. Isn't it cute?!

This was an amazing week!

A Long Day

Today was a busy day. We were looking for craft supplies so my mom and my sister can make a swimsuit for my sister's American Girl doll. First we went to Burger King for breakfast for Afiya's birthday. Then we went to take our dad to work, then we went to the Bodden Town library. Then we went to the gas station to get water bottles, then Office Works. After that, we went to the Dollar Store, then Kirk Office, then Partyland, then we went to Hurley's, and then we went home. I am so tired!

My Sister's Birthday

My sister's birthday is tomorrow. She is going to the turtle farm and she is also going to the beach to have pizza on Saturday. My sister is turning 9 years old! She will be inviting all of her friends. Their names are Lucy, Chloe, Eliana, Ocean, Sage, and GiGi.

First Game!

Today I just came from basketball and it was my first game. My dad is the coach of my team. Our team's name is the Bears. I had alot of fun so did my sister and Titus and Snowflake. Our team won! At first I was nervous then I forgot about it.

Baby Brother!

Titus is now 2 weeks old! He is getting heavier and heavier he is 7 pounds and 7 ounces.

Wet Lizard

When we were at Ms. Mia's house, she told us that the birds like to dunk dog food in the water to soften it before they eat it. We thought it was funny that birds eat dog food. They were so used to dunking their food in the water that one time a bird caught a lizard and dunked the lizard in the water to soften it before he ate it! That was hilarious!

Frogs

Cayman has a lot of frogs! My dad had to kill'em because they poop a lot, but we named a few. There was one in the door jam in our car. It was humongous! It looks like this:

Snorkeling

We have been snorkeling for the past few weeks. We saw lots and lots of fish! We saw Angelfish, Blue Tangs and Fairy Basslet. Some friends saw a Nurse Shark but we didn't. Mr. McBride had some bread and a big fish snatched the bread right out of his hand. I will show you some pictures soon.

Junior

My mom is pregnant we don't know if it is a boy or a girl. But I want a girl. My sister wants a boy. My mom and dad don't know. We tell people that it is a boy. Now the baby is two pounds. We'll get to see some pictures of the baby on Tuesday.

Life in Cayman

We have been in cayman for one month now. It's been fun so far but we haven't un-packed all our stuff yet. I thougth we would have all our stuff in.
